In India there are one or two types of music and dance forms, like classical dance forms and music along with folk dances and songs.
Each art form represents the culture in a  beautiful and impressive way. Dance and music are few of the oldest part of the traditions of the ancient India.

Santoor: Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma.
He was Awarded two of the civilian honours:
the Padma Shri and the Padma Vibhushan.
Sarod:                          Amjad Ali Khan
                                    He was awarded with the Padma Vibhushan
                                    in 2001.                                             
Sitar: Pt Ravi Shankar
He was awarded India's highest civilian
                                  honour, the Bharat Ratan  in 1999.

6) Mohiniyattam-                 Kerala
7) Sattriya -                          Assam
